Now THIS is good! Lifted from this years ‘Little Deaths’ album, ‘This Is My Melody’ serves as a timely reminder of what quality songwriting is all about.

Since being introduced to the music world in June 2008 Gundogs have been far from quiet, although you may be forgiven for not noticing them. Their music was used in adverts for Tesco, HSBC & GHD hair in 2008 & 2009 and they even recorded the theme song for a Hollywood movie. They have toured and gigged with the likes of Sex Pistols, Kill Hannah, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Crave, Funeral For A Friend, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, My Passion, Japanese Voyeurs, The Futureheads, The Kooks, The Stone Gods, Gary Numan, Toyah Willcox, The Blackout & The Wedding Present.

‘My Melody’ is the third EP containing a lead track from the album, remixed and packaged with perennial live favourite ‘Ode To C**t’ and an exclusive live version of album closer ‘Constant As The Sun’. ‘This Is My Melody’ is just one of the many highlights of what is essentially an album chock full of potential singles. Gundogs have an uncanny ability to produce sexy, sassy, intelligent songs, delivered with passion, guile and with an instant appeal, and continue to set the music world alight with their raunchy, post-punk anti-pop that still maintains a commercial appeal.

If you are not familiar with the work of Gundogs, the ‘My Melody’ EP is a great place to start. After a couple of plays you will see what the fuss is about.
