I have never come across these guys before and have no pre-conceptions or biased opinions. But Black Page Turns (a four piece band from Leicester) have recorded a cracking EP.

The first thing that you notice are the vocals, mild and unaggressive, fused with a full on gutsy rock sound with a raw edge.

The first track entitled Lightening Strikes is very infectious with complex guitar riffs and melodic hooks which sticks in your mind. This is a fab little tune and a great opener to the E.P.

Charlotte's Web is the next offering, with a heavier drum beat and just as catchy guitars it has your toe tapping and head nodding from the start, with a slightly darker side, this is for me, the best track out of the two.

I was pleasantly surprised by their unique style and extremely catchy sound.
