Falling Red announce their final UK tour dates of the year before taking a break from the live circuit to complete writing for their follow-up album. The Cumbrian sleaze rockers have gigged hard & fast throughout the year to promote their highly successful & critically acclaimed debut album release “Shake The Faith” which came out on Rocksector Records on 1st March.
Says frontman Rozey “This will be the first time the band has taken a real break for as long as any of us can remember. Our motto has been play hard, party hard but the time has come where we need to park the tour bus & put down the JD bottle for long enough to complete the new songs for our 2nd album which we expect to record in December”. The new release is pencilled in for March 2011. Rozey continues “It’s been one hell of a ride so far. We’ve gigged our hearts out, headlining outdoor festivals to the most intimate & sleaziest clubs in town, hitting audiences right between the eyes as we play absolutely on the edge every single night. What better way to sign off for the year than by playing around the country with cult sleaze/glam bands from the U.S.A…. Dirty Penny from Santa Cruz & The Erotics from New York”.
It’s somehow fitting that the final date of the year is an appearance at the Rock 4 Renal Failure charity event in Southport on 19th November, alongside the likes of New Device & JettBlack. As Classic Rock magazine puts it, Falling Red is “A British rock band to believe in”. See them live on this tour to catch the spirit of what has become THE British sleaze rock phenomenon.
