Article by Tony Gaskin Originally formed in 2005, Black Wenesday gained a reputaion for their hard rocking live shows and built a strong loyal fan base in their hometown of Walsall. Unfortunately things never progressed and the band went on to pursue other projects, most notable of which was singer/writer/guitarist Dale Jones, who most people will recognise as being part of Point Blank Fury. Now though, Dale feels the time is right to resurrect his old band and as got back together with old mate and drummer Keigo Kato and new bass player Mark Caudery and are setting out to re-educate us to the power of Black Wednesday. They play an all out, ballsy R 'n' R that showcases Dale's considerable guitar skills to the full, this is a band that will have cross genre appeal, enough classic riffage to keep even the most die hard rock fans happy, but with an heavyness that will appeal to the more modern metal fraternity. They currently have three cracking songs up on their FB/Reverbnation page which give a great overall picture of what this band can do. You can see them live at Scruffy Murphys in Birmingham on August 18th for their comeback gig Check out their tunes now http://www.facebook.com/blackwednesdayband |
