After being in bands (hence the stupid stage name of Randii) since leaving school and pursuing the music dream, I fancied something different.  That something would be being on the otherside of the camera for a change.  Endless gigging, radio and magazine coverage while constantly banging your head against brick walls finally took it's toll and resulted in me going for this photography lark as a suitable creative replacement... If only Midlands Rocks was around back when we were touring eh? 

 

It always interested me but I never knew where to start. I guess meeting those along the way who are giving it a go, both pros and amatures alike, gave me enough insight to finally pick up a camera and go for it myself.  And of course after a life of music my heart was always going to be very much involved in live photography and taking an interest in local bands who deserve a break. 

 

I won a live photography cometition for NME and Nutz magazine early on which helped build the confidence to continue on forward and reinforce the decision to upgrade of my gear.
