Hi! I've been a really keen on photography for longer than I care to mention now and I cover a range of subjects. If it is interesting I will photograph it! You can get an idea of my work from my website "Arc Images", but I also contribute work to various Photo Agencies, mainly "Alamy" (google "Alamy" followed by "John Bentley" and all my stuff comes up -plus a few other things such as Bentley Cars, which are nothing to do with me unfortunately!). I have had a wide range of stuff published over the years and was even a local press photographer at one time. Unfortunately I still need a day job to earn a living.
As the website shows, one of my keen photo interests is music. I took my first live music pictures in 1979 and managed to photograph The Human League at Sheffield Polytechnic before anyone had heard of them. Unfortunately I didn't do many gigs after that until 2004, which is a pity or I might have a valuable library of gig photos by now! I do as many live gigs as I can and get a real buzz out of it, especially as you are only usually allowed 3 songs to photograph. I am not worried about the type of music I photograph as long as it is visually exciting. I have broad tastes.
